Services: Assists Californians with disabilities obtain and retain employment and maximize their ability to live independently in their communities. The Department develops, purchases, provides, and advocates for programs and services in vocational rehabilitation, habilitation and independent living with a priority on service for persons with the most significant disabilities.
Eligibility: If you are an SSI recipient or SSDI beneficiary, and want to work, you are presumed to be eligible for DOR services (unless your disability is so severe that our services would not be helpful for you.) If you do not receive SSI or SSDI, your eligibility is based on the following factors: 1. you have a physical or mental impairment, 2. your impairment constitutes or results in an impediment to employment for you, and 3. you require vocational rehabilitation services to prepare you to secure, retain or regain employment. In other words, you must have a disability that affects you so greatly that you need DOR assistance to get and keep a job.

Services: A membership-operated community self-help center for people who suffer or have suffered from disabling mental and emotional problems. It is a safe place where members interact with others who share the same pain and stigma, and become empowered to take charge of their own lives. The Interlink Center provides services and information on areas of vital concern to its members- such as housing, food, transportation and vocational training. Through peer counseling, the Interlink Center offers support and comfort as its members strive to recover and live happier, productive lives.

Services: The regional center is the place where a person can get a full review of his or her developmental disabilities and get help to carry out a plan to reduce those disabilities or compensate for them. Services include diagnosis and evaluation, individual program planning, prevention services, crisis intervention, family support services, as determined on a case-by-case basis, advocacy, consultation with other agencies, program evaluation, community education and resource development, transition planning, admissions to and discharges from State Developmental Centers, and coordination of services with community providers such as school, health, welfare and recreation resources.

Services: A 24-hour crisis hotline for adolescents and parents, a shelter for runaway and homeless youth, with a focus on family reunification, group home for teens who have been abused or neglected, individual, family and group counseling, school-based drug and alcohol prevention and education, youth employment services, street outreach and HIV education, family advocacy, and mentoring.

Services: 24-hour services for a variety of specialized mental health needs, including outpatient, inpatient and long-term care. Emergency mental health counseling and referrals. Resource Team provides a single point of entry for clients seeking County mental health services in the Santa Rosa, Windsor and Sebastopol area. Determines the most appropriate program for individuals and acts as the treatment program for those clients whose illness meets the criteria for target population.

Services: St Anthony Farm provides a free residential drug and alcohol recovery program for 29 men and 14 women.
Eligibility: Intakes and evaluations are performed on a first come, first serve basis Monday to Thursday at 8:30 am at 55 Jones Street in San Francisco. Requirements for admission to the program are based on the Farm being a volunteer social model work program with limited access to medical, dental and psychiatric services. Other requirements include no outstanding warrants, court cases or other legal matters that require one’s personal appearance while a resident at the farm, no income from GA, state disability, SSI or unemployment, no chronic medical or psychiatric condition that would prevent full participation. Must be able to fully participate in the work component of the program. Must be drug and alcohol free for 72 hours.

Services: VVC has constructed transitional housing projects which offer a safe environment where veterans are supported in their efforts to overcome a variety of obstacles. By providing an effective network of services, veterans are connected to employment and training programs, counseling, and legal services.
