Disability Services

Sonoma County Job Link provides accessible services for persons with disabilities. These services include accommodations for all customers of Job Link and individualized services for customers who qualify, based on their disability. Job Link also has a designated staff person to assist with directing you to our resources and services. The resources and services offered at Job Link are designed to provide assistance for people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain, and keep meaningful employment.

Some of the partners located at the Job Link Center provide individualized services. They include:

  • Vocational rehabilitation from the State of California Department of Rehabilitation
  • Vocational assistance from Project Inclusion in partnership with Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire

In the Job Link Computer Lab we have:

WYNN Literacy Software

  • Helps individuals to read and write more effectively
  • Has the ability to read aloud the on-screen text from the Internet

textHELP! Software

  • Offers additional help reading and writing with any windows application, and can read aloud the on-screen text

Accessible Workstation

  • Height-Adjustable Motorized Table
  • Screen Magnifier with Optional Speech (Zoomtext)
  • Document Reader
  • Ergonomic Keyboard and mouse
  • Intellikeys Keyboard with templates to accommodate special needs
  • JAWS software for the vision impaired


The Job Link Resource Center includes:

  • TTY
  • Amplified phone
  • Interpretype Peer-to-Peer ITY devices
  • Portable magnifier
  • Large print materials are also available
  • Comtex Auditory Assistance kits
  • American Sign Language interpreters are available with seven (7) days notice.

IRIS
IRIS is a database referral system for human service organizations in Sonoma County. It contains information on more than 450 nonprofit and government agencies, detailing nearly 1,000 programs.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)
A free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employability of people with disabilities.

Social Security Administration
Information about employment support for Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities.
